Welcome to weatherprepared.com. We are based on the west coast of sunny Florida. When we tell people we're from Florida, most of them think, tropical weather, sugar white beaches and of course, HURRICANES! It is true, from June 1 to November 30, we are preparing to wage war with Mother nature. However, hurricanes are not our only enemy. We are all too familiar with tornados and severe lightning storms as well. At one time we were called the lightning capital of the world! (Our title was taken away when scientists discovered that Rwanda "struck us out".)
Having said this, weatherprepared.com is all about being alert and prepared for bad weather. Unfortunately, bad weather is not prejudice. Bad weather will cast upon every western, central and eastern state. It doesn't matter if you live in a rural or urban community, you have been or will be exposed to the hazard of severe weather conditions. Whether it is a tornado, hurricane, earthquake, flood or just a temporary power outage resulting from a severe lightning storm, being weather alert and prepared can help save lives.
