Weather alert radios with SAME (specific alert message encoding) can be programmed to your specific area. This will minimize any weather alerts for counties that are far away from where you live.
 
 
  • TEMPORARY SELF SURVIVAL - Survival Kits provide basic but necessary water, food, first aid,  and shelter for up to 72 hours until rescue help arrives.  Emergency crews simply can not respond to everyone at the same time.  You must be able to provide for yourself and your family. Survival kits should be small enough to carry in case you are forced to leave your home. Survival kits should be customized to each individuals specific needs. Statistics show, if you can survive through the first night, chances are you can survive through a few more.
